App Design
AMPLIFIED
New IPad application for electric guitarists
I was recently approached to create the user interface for a brand new IPad application to be used by guitar players. The client wanted something that used a simple layout and didn't have too many functions and buttons so a guitar player could sit down and start to use the application straight away without any real degree of a learning curve.

I used a leather texture to create the feel of a guitar amplifier and surrounded it with a wood texture to compliment the look. I chose the dark colour scheme initially as it gave the look the client was going for but there are other colour schemes currently being worked on to give users a choice for their own application.

The application will allow the player to set a basic Equaliser setting (as well as showing a live view as the user plays through the app on the EQ screen), choose a guitar tone from clean right through to an insane distortion setting and finally tweak each each tone using the gain, middle, treble etc. buttons below.

The application is currently only in the development stages and does not have a release date as of yet. Future updates will include an option to create a custom signal chain running through delay, chorus and compressor settings etc. as well as bringing in a record and playback functionalit
